Eufaula Branch Holds First Freedom Fund
Banquet and Dothan Branch Attends

Dothan Wiregrass Branch members attended the Eufaula
Branch's first NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet in Eufaula on Saturday,
September 16, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The Banquet hosted over 400 guests
and was a true success. State Chair of the Prison Project, Rev. Kenneth
Glasgow of T.O.P.S. was the guest speaker for the event. He spoke
on his work with the NAACP, working together, focusing on the issues,
his past and how God placed individuals in his life to helped him
to acheive what was was needed. Alabama State President Edward Vaughn
was able to make it and say a few words on the behalf of the NAACP
Alabama State Conference after speaking the same night in Fort Gains,
GA to the Fort Gains Branch. Also present was the Mayor of Eufaula
and Lucy Baxely.
